How to include Kew in your will

If you are making or changing your Will to include a bequest to Kew we recommend you seek advice from a solicitor or professional adviser, but the following wording provides a guide:

For a residuary bequest:

I give to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Foundation and Friends, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 3AB (Registered Charity Number 803428), (a one half share / all) of the residue of my estate for its general purposes.

For a specific sum:

I give to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Foundation and Friends, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 3AB (Registered Charity Number 803428), the sum of £_____ for its general purposes

If you are thinking of revising your Will – or making one for the first time – you could also help to secure the future of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Legacies of all sizes are an increasingly important source of funds, and there are many different ways in which your gift could help. A legacy can be left generally, to be spent where it is most needed at the time, or specifically to one of our major areas of work:

If you would like to visit us to learn more about how your legacy could help we would be delighted to arrange a behind-the-scenes tour. We also have a free booklet, A Legacy That Lives On, designed to help you when preparing your Will, and giving more information on how bequests help Kew.
